KAMPALA – Significant strides are being made on the much-anticipated Kiwafu Road development project, with officials reporting that construction is “progressing well.” The positive update was delivered during a crucial joint site inspection and review meeting held this week.

The meeting brought together the full project team, including representatives from the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area-Urban Development Programme (GKMA-UDP), the contracted construction firms, and key community stakeholders. The primary objective was to conduct a comprehensive on-site assessment of the work completed to date and to collaboratively address any emerging challenges.

A central focus of the discussions was problem-solving and strategic planning to ensure the project remains on schedule. The group engaged in productive talks to identify practical solutions and chart a clear, effective way forward for the subsequent phases of construction.
“This collaborative approach is essential for the successful delivery of vital infrastructure,” said a representative from the GKMA-UDP. “By bringing all parties to the table, we can proactively tackle challenges, align our efforts, and ensure this project delivers maximum benefit to the community.”
The Kiwafu Road project is a cornerstone of the region’s broader infrastructure development plan. It is expected to significantly improve traffic flow, enhance road safety, and boost local economic activity by providing better connectivity for residents and businesses alike.
The project team has expressed strong confidence that with continued cooperation and focus, the Kiwafu Road development will be completed to a high standard, fulfilling its promise of fostering growth and improving quality of life in the area.
