Police Probe Mysterious Death of Woman at Home of Controversial Socialite Brian White

KAMPALA – Kampala Metropolitan Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the mysterious death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama, a social media personality known as BennitahKay, who died following a suspected gas explosion at the home of former socialite Brian Kirumira, popularly known as Bryan White.
The incident, which occurred on October 27, 2025, at Kirumira’s residence in Kyamula, Makindye Division, left Nalubwama with fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead after being rushed to Kiruddu Hospital.

According to reports, Brian Kirumira, who also sustained injuries in the incident, is currently admitted to the hospital receiving treatment for fire-related wounds. Police confirmed that he has recorded a statement regarding the events leading to Nalubwama’s death.
In a statement, investigators revealed that the scene has been cordoned off for forensic analysis. “We have since cordoned off the property, recovered forensic exhibits, and begun analyzing CCTV footage as part of the inquiry,” a police representative said. While the preliminary reports suggest a gas explosion, authorities are treating the case as a suspicious death, and Kirumira remains under close scrutiny.
The tragedy has thrust the controversial figure of Bryan White back into the public spotlight. Once famed for his flamboyant lifestyle and highly publicized youth philanthropy, his reputation has been long shadowed by allegations of sexual exploitation, violence, and misuse of influence. Following past scandals that sparked public outrage, this latest incident has reignited difficult questions about accountability and the protection of vulnerable women within Kampala’s social circles.
