ENTEBBE – A delegation of 100 students and staff from the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka conducted a strategic study visit to Entebbe International Airport on Friday, November 14, 2025.

The visit was organized to enhance the team’s understanding of national development projects and key strategic installations. The delegation was led by the College’s Deputy Commandant, Brig. Gen. Elvis Byamukama.
Upon arrival, the team was received by Brig. Gen. Mike Kisame, the Aviation Security Manager of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA). The visit included an interactive session at the Airport’s Control Tower, where the group was briefed by the Director of Air Navigation Services, Mr. Richard Ruhesi.
A significant part of the tour involved an inspection of the facilities at the new terminal building, which is currently completed but not yet open to the public. The visit provided the future military leaders with firsthand insight into the critical infrastructure driving Uganda’s aviation sector and economic growth.
