SOCIAL MEDIA PERSONALITY JAYDEN HOSPITALIZED WITH CRITICALLY LOW OXYGEN LEVELS
Nalya, Uganda – Popular TikTok content creator Timothy Kayanja, widely known as Jayden, has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition as he battles a severe case of Aplastic Anaemia.
The 24-year-old was admitted to TMR Hospital in Nalya as an emergency after his health deteriorated rapidly. According to his care coordinator, fellow media personality Zubeda Byantalo, Jayden became progressively weaker, prompting the urgent hospital visit.
Initial medical assessments revealed a sharp and dangerous drop in his blood oxygen saturation to 86%. Doctors have identified this as a severe case of hypoxemia, where oxygen levels in the blood fall to dangerously low thresholds. For a healthy individual, normal blood oxygen levels are typically between 95% and 100%.
“He’s currently being stabilised and the doctors shall run more tests to know what’s gone wrong, as they work to manage the infection and stabilise his respiratory function,” Ms. Byantalo stated.
Jayden’s underlying condition, Aplastic Anaemia, is a serious illness where the body fails to produce sufficient new blood cells. His treatment plan necessitates an urgent bone marrow transplant, a procedure that requires him to travel abroad.
Amidst this medical crisis, TMR Hospital has provided a significant intervention. The hospital has generously offered to keep Jayden under their full care at no cost until arrangements for his overseas travel and treatment are finalized.
“The treatment centre has offered to keep Jayden and provide him with full care at no cost until arrangements are complete for his travel abroad for the definitive procedure,” Byantalo confirmed.
The social media community is rallying in support of Jayden, who has amassed a large following on TikTok. The focus now remains on stabilizing his immediate condition while efforts continue to secure his pathway to the life-saving transplant abroad.
