
MDF Urban Economy, Entebbe Municipal Council to Launch Youth Skilling Hub in Kitooro
Entebbe, Uganda – August 7, 2025 – In a strategic move to tackle youth unemployment in Entebbe, Daniel Abraham Sebuliba has hosted Dr. Ritah Kaggwa, Chairperson of the MDF Urban Economy, for a high-level engagement aimed at empowering unemployed youth through technical skills training, support, and mentorship.
During the meeting, held at Entebbe Municipal Council, both parties agreed to collaborate on a transformative project designed to equip young people with practical skills that can boost their employability and entrepreneurial capacity.
“We are committed to creating opportunities for our youth through skills development. This partnership marks the beginning of a journey to transform lives,” said Sebuliba.
As part of the initiative, a Youth Skilling Hub is set to be established in Kitooro Central, Entebbe. The hub will serve as a center for vocational training, mentorship, and startup support for youth interested in trades, technology, and innovation.
Dr. Ritah Kaggwa welcomed the partnership, emphasizing the importance of building sustainable urban economies by investing in the potential of young people.
The project is expected to kick off soon, with local stakeholders expressing optimism about its potential to reduce unemployment and stimulate local economic growth.
