KAMPALA — The security detail assigned to Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, a Presidential Advisor and manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), has been withdrawn, according to multiple reports circulating on X (formerly Twitter).
The withdrawal was reported by local media outlets, including 99.9 Sure FM, and confirmed by public figures such as Hon. Mwesigye Frank, who stated that Presidential Police Guard (PPG) officers guarding Namyalo have been pulled. Some social media users also referred to the withdrawn personnel as members of the Special Forces Command (SFC).

The removal of her security detail follows recent political clashes regarding the 2031 presidential succession. Namyalo has publicly backed President Yoweri Museveni’s continued leadership past 2031. However, this stance puts her at odds with supporters of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), a political pressure group pushing for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to take over the presidency in 2031.
