Minister Balaam Issues Ultimatum to Chosen Becky’s Fiancée Over Defilement Allegations
The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, has given Ssekajja Abdul Qadir, the recently unveiled fiancée of singer Chosen Becky, a 12-hour ultimatum to report to his office over serious allegations of defilement.
Speaking during an interview on Spark TV on Monday, Hon. Balaam revealed that Qadir is accused of impregnating a 16-year-old girl before abandoning her in a small rented house. The minister condemned the alleged act, stressing that such cases of child abuse will not be tolerated under his watch.
The development comes just weeks after Qadir, a well-known city cameraman, proposed to Chosen Becky, a mother of four. Reports indicate that the two have been romantically involved for years, with Qadir previously working under the singer in a professional capacity.
The allegations have since stirred heated reactions online, with many social media users expressing shock and dismay over the controversy surrounding the singer’s new relationship.
Hon. Balaam has insisted that Qadir must appear before his office without delay to respond to the accusations.
