Ms. Doreen Katusiime the Permanent Secretary of Uganda’s Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities , together with other Ministry Officials have given back to the community through visiting Teresa Children’s Home in Nsambya as part of activities ahead of World Tourism Day.

Several Relief items like food and other baby supplies including diapers have been donated to the home which cares for abandoned babies. Katusiime said the initiative demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to giving back to communities beyond its core tourism mandate.
She has added that the Ministry will continue supporting the children’s home. Teresa Children’s Home cares for babies who have been abandoned, providing them with basic necessities and a safe environment. During the visit, Katusiime expressed appreciation for the work being done at the facility, particularly the care given to the children.

Teresa Children’s Home (founded under Teresa Ministries by Fr. Raymond Kalanzi) was established in 2014, with its Nsambya branch beginning operations in 2023 and officially opening in 2025.
