JUBA, South Sudan – September 17, 2025 – In a significant meeting held in the capital today, South Sudan’s Vice President, Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, and the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Ms. Anita Kiki Gbeho, committed to strengthening collaboration between the government and the United Nations to address the nation’s pressing humanitarian and peacebuilding challenges.
The high-level discussion, described as “fruitful,” centered on the multifaceted crisis gripping the world’s youngest nation.
