Kampala, Uganda — The Ugandan entertainment community is in mourning following the untimely passing of popular content creator Timothy Kayanja, widely known to his fans as Jayden. He was 24 years old.
His death was confirmed by Kookie Promotions, Galaxy TV Uganda, and Patro Uganda. According to reports, Jayden passed away following an unsuccessful bone marrow transplant in India. He had been battling sickle cell disease for years.
Jayden’s health journey had been closely followed by his supporters. He raised public support for treatment abroad after enduring critical hospital stays in Uganda, including a severe scare with dangerously low oxygen levels.
Those close to him recall that the surgery initially appeared successful. In a heartfelt tribute, a close associate revealed that even after the procedure, Jayden remained hopeful. “Even when I talked to him on a WhatsApp video call a few weeks after his surgery, he promised me that he would return home soon. He had a lot of dreams ahead of him,” the tribute read.
However, his condition took a sudden turn for the worse a few weeks ago. Despite continuous prayers and widespread support, the young creator succumbed to the illness.
