BOMBO TOWN COUNCIL – The manhunt for Mwesigwa Dickson Muganda, the prime suspect in the brutal killing of his fiancée Christine Babirye Mulongo, has ended with his arrest in Kyenjojo district.
Muganda, a shoemaker operating near Bombo Police Station and a recent candidate for local councilor in Bombo Central, had been on the run since the incident. According to authorities, he was tracked down and apprehended in Kyenjojo, bringing a critical development to the case that had sent shockwaves through the Bombo community.
The tragic incident occurred following a domestic dispute. It is alleged that Muganda poured fuel on Mulongo and set her on fire after she decided to end their relationship.
