MamiDeb Says She Won’t Carry Her Own Children to Preserve Curvy Figure: ‘I’ll Opt for Surrogacy and Adoption’
KAMPALA, Uganda — Businesswoman and reality TV star Deborah Nantongo, popularly known as MamiDeb, has revealed that while she is considering expanding her family, she has no intention of carrying the pregnancies herself – because she wants to keep her curvy figure and buttocks intact.
The socialite, who recently underwent a dramatic body transformation, told local media that she has already begun discussions with her husband, Michael Cleave, about having children. However, she ruled out natural pregnancy, citing her desire to protect the results of her expensive cosmetic procedures.
“Now that I’ve had my surgery and I’m finally feeling good about myself again, I cannot go ahead with carrying a pregnancy,” MamiDeb explained. “I will instead opt for surrogacy and adoption.”
MamiDeb became the talk of the town after unveiling her brand-new body, the result of a 360-degree liposuction and breast reduction surgery. The procedures reportedly cost her between 30 million and 35 million Ugandan shillings (approximately $8,000–$9,300 USD).
Recovery was intensive: she employed a live-in nurse and received daily visits from a doctor, underscoring how much she invested – both financially and physically – in achieving her desired look.
Her latest comments have sparked fresh debate among fans and followers, with some praising her honesty about bodily autonomy and others questioning whether surrogacy is being chosen for purely aesthetic reasons.
MamiDeb, who has not yet disclosed a timeline for starting the surrogacy or adoption process, said her husband is supportive of the plan.
