NAIROBI – In a significant move to enhance global air connectivity, Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways have announced a new codeshare agreement set to begin on October 26, 2025.
The partnership will link 19 destinations across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, allowing passengers to travel on a single ticket through the major hubs of Nairobi and Doha.
Under the agreement, Kenya Airways customers will gain access to 11 of Qatar Airways’ global destinations via Doha, including major hubs like London, New York, and Sydney. Conversely, Qatar Airways passengers will be able to connect through Nairobi to eight African cities, such as Entebbe (Uganda), Harare (Zimbabwe), and Lusaka (Zambia).
The expansion will be supported by Qatar Airways introducing a third daily flight on the Doha-Nairobi route, significantly increasing capacity and flexibility for travelers.
The airlines state that the partnership is designed to boost connectivity for tourism, trade, and business travel, particularly in emerging economic regions. The collaboration marks a key strategic alliance, linking Qatar Airways’ extensive global network with Kenya Airways’ strong footprint across Africa.
