
KIGALI, Rwanda – President Paul Kagame met with Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE Media Council and the National Media Office (NMO), at Urugwiro Village on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting, which was also attended by a high-level delegation from the UAE, centered on enhancing media and communications collaboration between the two nations. Discussions highlighted the critical role of the media sector in fostering stronger bilateral ties and deepening the existing partnership between Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Abdulla’s visit underscores a mutual commitment to advancing cooperation beyond traditional sectors. The dialogue is expected to pave the way for future partnerships between media institutions in both countries, potentially involving exchanges, joint training programs, and content sharing initiatives.
Both Rwanda and the UAE have placed a significant strategic emphasis on developing dynamic and influential media landscapes. This high-level discussion marks a step towards aligning these efforts for mutual benefit and shared growth.
The UAE delegation’s itinerary in Rwanda is expected to include further meetings with key figures in the country’s media and government sectors.
