
Uganda Finalizes Shs84 Trillion Budget for 2026/27 Financial Year
KAMPALA, Uganda – The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has put the final touches on the national budget for the Financial Year 2026/27, amounting to Shs84.39 trillion. The new spending plan marks a significant 16% increase from the previous year’s budget.
Permanent Secretary Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi led Tuesday’s session to polish the speech that Finance Minister Henry Musasizi will deliver on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 2 p.m. in Kampala.

The Shs84.39 trillion plan emphasizes economic transformation with a focus on six core areas:
