
Kampala Police Arrest Social Media Influencer over “Unnatural Acts” Allegations in 2018 Video
KAMPALA, Uganda – The Kampala Metropolitan Police have arrested a 27-year-old social media influencer on charges of engaging in acts against the order of nature, following an investigation into a video recorded in 2018.
The suspect, identified as Nyanzi Kenneth Lukyamuzi, also known as Mukalakasa, was taken into custody on March 24, 2026, in Kampala. Authorities allege that the video in question shows Lukyamuzi and other individuals, who remain at large, engaging in prohibited acts in Kajjansi.
According to a police statement, the suspect is currently being held as investigators continue to build their case. Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for review and legal guidance.
Law enforcement officials have issued a warning to the public, cautioning against participation in unlawful acts and urging citizens to report any individuals involved in similar activities to the relevant authorities.
Police have confirmed that efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects linked to the case. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
