
President Museveni Holds Diplomatic Talks with Outgoing Russian Envoy, French Ambassador, and British High Commissioner
Entebbe, Uganda – President Yoweri Museveni today held a series of high-level diplomatic meetings at State House Entebbe, receiving the outgoing Russian ambassador, the French ambassador, and the British High Commissioner.
The President first hosted H.E. Vladlen Semivolos, the outgoing Russian Ambassador to Uganda. President Museveni congratulated Ambassador Semivolos on the successful completion of his tour of duty and praised his efforts in ensuring continued warmth and cooperation between Uganda and Russia, as well as between their peoples. The President wished him well in all his future endeavors.
Later, President Museveni received H.E. Virginie Leroy, the French Ambassador to Uganda, who called on him to deliver a message and an official invitation from French President H.E. Emmanuel Macron. The invitation is for the upcoming France–Africa Summit, scheduled to take place in Nairobi next month, with Uganda confirmed to participate.
In a separate meeting, the President met with H.E. Lisa Chesney, the British High Commissioner. Their discussions focused on expanding economic opportunities between Uganda and the United Kingdom, including various export financing projects. Both sides expressed a shared aim to deepen collaboration on business and economic growth.
