KAMPALA – A woman, only identified as Kadama, has publicly leveled serious allegations against Prophet Joseph Tumusime, the lead pastor of Rivers of Life Miracle Center in Matuga, accusing him of sexual exploitation, manipulation, and abandonment after she bore his child.

In a detailed account, Kadama narrated how her journey from being a devoted follower to a victim began while she was working in Saudi Arabia. She reportedly came across a video of Pastor Tumusime online, was drawn to his ministry, and began following him on social media.
Upon returning to Uganda, she sought out his church in Matuga to connect with the pastor physically. The two eventually developed a close friendship. Kadama states that during this period, she began experiencing a series of “weird dreams” that troubled her.
Seeking spiritual guidance, she approached Prophet Tumusime for a private prayer session to interpret the dreams. However, she claims the encounter took an unexpected romantic turn. What began as a pastoral relationship quickly escalated into what she describes as “adulthood games,” leading to a sexual relationship.
Kadama alleges that despite her initial hesitation due to the pastor’s married status, Prophet Tumusime persisted. The relationship continued over multiple occasions, ultimately resulting in a pregnancy.
The most devastating blow, she claims, came after she gave birth to their child. According to Kadama, the prophet subsequently ended the relationship and has since abandoned her, leaving her to care for the child they sired alone.
These allegations have sent shockwaves through the congregation and the wider community, raising serious questions about the conduct of spiritual leaders and the vulnerability of their followers.
As of the time of this report, Prophet Joseph Tumusime has not issued a public statement regarding the accusations. Attempts to reach him or a representative from the Rivers of Life Miracle Center for comment have been unsuccessful.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about the accountability of religious figures and the power dynamics within spiritual institutions.
