Minister Barugahara Condemns Attack on Singer Full Figure, Urges Perpetrators to Surrender
KAMPALA – The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, has issued a strong statement concerning the recent violent assault and robbery of renowned singer and socialite, Jennifer Full Figure.
The statement, posted on the Minister’s official social media platforms, comes in the wake of public outrage following reports that the artist was attacked, beaten, and robbed by an unidentified group.
Minister Barugahara began by expressing his gratitude to the medical team attending to Madam Full Figure. He then issued a direct and urgent appeal to the perpetrators, stating, “To those who participated in the unfortunate incident of beating and robbing her, I strongly urge you to surrender to the CPS and record a statement today.” He emphasized the government’s stance against such acts, adding, “We cannot sit back and watch cruelty and lawlessness prevail in our nation.”
In a balanced appeal that also addressed the singer’s conduct, the Minister called upon Full Figure to refrain from using offensive language. “We should strive to be humble and respectful toward one another at all times. Vulgar language must be condemned in all circumstances,” Barugahara advised.
Concluding his statement, the Minister, who also serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), extended an apology. “I wish to extend apologies on behalf of Madam Jennifer Full Figure to all individuals who may have been abused or harassed through her communication previously.”
