Mukungu Fredrick Albert Concedes Entebbe MP Race, Unveils Dual-Plan Development Agenda
ENTEBBE – Following the declaration of results for the Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament seat, candidate Mukungu Fredrick Albert has formally conceded defeat, while outlining a concrete, dual-track plan to continue serving the area through investment lobbying and healthcare improvement.
In a statement, Albert extended his gratitude to his supporters. “I want to thank all my voters in Entebbe municipality. We have not lost this election; we came, campaigned, manifested our ideas and presence, but another was chosen. It’s all good because there is always one winner,” he stated.
Emphasizing that his commitment transcends electoral politics, he added, “I will not stop working for the people of Entebbe because I didn’t win. We will still work together.”
Significantly, Albert leveraged his external roles to announce specific development initiatives for the municipality. He revealed a two-pronged strategy rooted in his positions outside of national politics.
First, citing his capacity as the official representative of the Kingdom of Buganda in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Albert pledged to channel international investment into the area. “I am ready to lobby investments into Entebbe municipality to create jobs and development,” he declared, positioning himself as a potential bridge for foreign economic interests.
Second, drawing on his professional expertise as a qualified medical doctor, he committed to spearheading improvements in local health services. His first actionable project is already in motion: the lobbying for and procurement of ambulances. “I am ready to lobby for the improvement of the health services in Entebbe with my first idea of lobbying ambulances which will land here soonest,” he announced.
Analysts suggest this post-election statement strategically reframes Albert’s role from a political contender to a development-focused advocate and lobbyist. By pinpointing specific, high-impact areas like job creation and emergency healthcare, he aims to maintain relevance and demonstrate tangible value to constituents despite his electoral loss.
The announcement sets the stage for Albert to operate as a non-parliamentary figure actively engaged in municipal development, leveraging his international connections and medical background to complement the work of the elected leadership.
