KAMPALA – In a move to solidify support for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), the Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, today held a high-level strategic meeting with a delegation of political leaders from Buikwe District.
The meeting, held at the ONC headquarters in Kampala, brought together key figures including Hon. Mutebi David Ronnie, the Member of Parliament for Buikwe South, alongside NRM Flag Bearers Badru Kabuye Mpoza (Njeru Municipality) and Isaac Mulindwa Ssozi (Lugazi Municipality).
The primary agenda was to consolidate the party’s structural framework within Buikwe District to ensure an overwhelming victory for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM party in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
Discussions centered on reinforcing grassroots mobilization and addressing voter concerns to secure a decisive win. A major point of deliberation was the continued implementation of empowerment programs for youth and women, which was highlighted as a central pillar of President Museveni’s longstanding “gospel against poverty.”
Hajjat Namyalo emphasized the ONC’s commitment to supporting these initiatives, which are seen as crucial for improving household incomes and securing the loyalty of the party’s largest voter base.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the Buikwe leadership to work closely with the ONC to disseminate the party’s message and protect the gains achieved under the NRM government.
The hashtag #ProtectingTheGains was prominently used to underscore the meeting’s objective of safeguarding the nation’s development progress.
