UEDCL Entebbe Team Brightens Days at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital with Donation and Pledge of Support

ENTEBBE, UGANDA – In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, a team from the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) in Entebbe recently visited new mothers and their babies at the Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital.

The visit was aimed at supporting the well-being of the patients, with the UEDCL team donating essential items to the mothers and their newborns. The gesture was met with appreciation, bringing comfort and vital supplies to the families at the facility.

Beyond the donation, the UEDCL team engaged in productive discussions with the hospital’s medical staff. The talks focused on forging a sustainable partnership and exploring ways in which UEDCL can continue to support the hospital’s mission. Key areas of discussion included strategies for improving the quality of healthcare services and enhancing the overall well-being of all patients who seek treatment at the regional referral facility.

“This visit underscores our commitment to being more than just an electricity distributor; we are an active part of the community we serve,” a UEDCL representative stated. “We are dedicated to ‘Lighting Up Your World’ in every sense of the phrase, and that includes supporting the health and welfare of Ugandans.”
The initiative highlights UEDCL’s ongoing commitment to corporate citizenship and its dedication to making a tangible difference in the communities across Uganda.
