KAMPALA, UGANDA – The future of driving in Uganda officially arrived in style as Jetour, the global automotive brand, made its highly anticipated market entry at a glamorous launch event held at the Serena Hotel. The event unveiled two new SUV models, the stylish Jetour Dashing and the spacious Jetour X70 Plus, signalling a significant shift in the country’s automotive landscape.

Under the theme “Drive Your Future,” the launch was characterized by a refined and vibrant atmosphere, with guests arriving in anticipation of the new models. The vehicles were presented as a harmonious blend of striking design and efficient performance, promising to cater to a wide range of Ugandan drivers.

In his address, Mr. Zein Abdemutaal, Chief Operating Officer of Jetour Uganda, sought to immediately build consumer confidence. He assured potential buyers that purchasing a Jetour vehicle is a secure investment. “We have made this car compatible for everyone,” stated Abdemutaal. “No worry about spare parts, those will be available in plenty.”

This commitment to after-sales support and reliability was a central promise of the launch, addressing a key concern for many Ugandan car owners.

The brand’s value proposition was further elaborated by Richard Bamujje, Sales Manager of Jetour Uganda. “Uganda’s automotive sector has for years lacked variety and dependable solutions. With Jetour, we are filling that gap,” Bamujje explained. “From individuals seeking premium SUVs, to corporate fleet managers looking to lower operational costs, we are offering vehicles that combine quality, efficiency, and value.”

The event also garnered strong backing from the Government of Uganda. Moses Kaggwa, representing the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, officially welcomed the investors, Al Mamoun East Africa, and the Jetour brand. He emphasized that the government’s support would extend beyond permits to fostering an ecosystem of opportunity for Ugandans.

“Here you will find Ugandans eager to work — to sell your cars, to run workshops, to distribute spare parts, and to provide reliable after-sales service,” Kaggwa said. “Give them the chance, and you will see that this is how true development takes root — when investment creates opportunities for our people.”

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting such investments through fair policies, secure operating environments, and continued infrastructural development.

The launch of Jetour Uganda introduces two distinct SUVs: the compact and bold Jetour Dashing, designed to turn heads, and the feature-rich, family-oriented Jetour X70 Plus. Together, they mark the beginning of Jetour’s mission to provide Ugandans with attainable performance, modern styling, and trusted local support.
