Anitah Among Vows Never to Disrespect Rebecca Kadaga
Buyende – Speaker of Parliament Anitah Among has affirmed her respect for former Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, stating she will never engage in verbal attacks or respond to any criticisms directed at her by the veteran legislator.
Speaking during a visit to Buyende, Among acknowledged that she had heard all remarks made by her political opponent but stressed that she holds Kadaga in high regard.
“I have heard everything from my opponent, Rebecca Kadaga, but I will never, at any point, respond to her or abuse her in any way,” Among said. “I truly respect her and will never disrespect her at any point.”
Her remarks come amid growing political tensions between the two prominent Busoga leaders, both influential figures in Uganda’s political landscape. Among’s public assurance of respect is seen as an effort to maintain civility despite the ongoing rivalry.
