KAMPALA – Music icon Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Jose Chameleone, has made a definitive statement regarding the distribution of his wealth, while simultaneously revealing a domestic disagreement concerning his will.
In a recent public update, the “Baliwa” singer unequivocally stated that his substantial assets are reserved solely for his children and their future offspring.
“My assets are for my children. They will also leave them for my grandchildren,” Chameleone declared. He emphasized his intention to retain control of his properties during his lifetime, clarifying the nature of the inheritance. “I will not hand over the properties while I’m still alive, but they are the owners.”
However, the Leone Island boss disclosed a point of contention within the family. He pinpointed a specific issue, stating, “The problem I am finding is that Daniela wants me to sign off on a will while I’m still alive which I don’t agree with.”
This statement has sparked public curiosity, as it highlights a potential disagreement over estate planning. While Chameleone affirms his children as the ultimate beneficiaries, he appears resistant to the formalities of drafting a will at this moment, a move seemingly advocated by his wife, Daniela.
The couple, married for over a decade, are parents to several children. Chameleone’s remarks have opened a window into the private family discussions about managing the superstar’s legacy, underscoring the delicate balance between planning for the future and maintaining control in the present.
As of now, neither Chameleone nor Daniela has offered further comment on the nature of their disagreement.
