In a strategic move aimed at addressing youth unemployment, Daniel Abraham Sebuliba Chairperson of the MDF Urban Economy, today hosted UK-based blogger, media personality, and philanthropist Dr. Ritah Kaggwa, for a high-level engagement at Entebbe Municipal Council.
The meeting focused on launching a transformative initiative to empower unemployed youth through technical skills training, mentorship, and startup support. Both parties agreed to collaborate on the establishment of a Youth Skilling Hub in Kitooro Central, Entebbe.
The hub will offer vocational training in trades, technology, and innovation, serving as a center for skills development and entrepreneurial empowerment. The facility is expected to play a critical role in boosting the employability of young people and promoting self-reliance.
Dr. Ritah Kaggwa expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “To build sustainable urban economies, we must invest in the potential of our youth. This partnership is a step in the right direction.”
Daniel Sebuliba echoed her sentiments, emphasizing the need for practical solutions to unemployment through community-driven partnerships and skill-based interventions.
The Youth Skilling Hub project is set to commence soon, with more details to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
