The Uganda Police Force has announced stringent security protocols for the upcoming football fixtures at Mandela National Stadium on Friday, August 8, 2025. The measures follow a successful review of security operations during initial matches, conducted in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Two highly anticipated matches are scheduled:
- Algeria vs. South Africa at 17:00hrs
- Guinea vs. Uganda at 20:00hrs
Authorities praised the public for their cooperation during previous events, noting that most spectators adhered to security guidelines. However, a few individuals attempting violations were swiftly apprehended.
Prohibited Items
To ensure safety, the following items are strictly banned within the stadium:
- Airhorns (vuvuzelas) and whistles
- Glass bottles and cans
- Large bags and suitcases
- Video cameras
- Tools (e.g., hammers)
- Flasks, smoke canisters, and fireworks
- Umbrellas
