ENTEBBE EDUCATION RECEIVES MAJOR BOOST AS MAYOR OFFICIATES DUAL SCHOOL PROJECT GROUNDBREAKING

Entebbe, Uganda – In a significant move to advance educational infrastructure within the municipality, His Worship the Mayor of Entebbe, Fabrice Rulinda, today officiated groundbreaking ceremonies for major construction projects at two separate schools.

The dual ceremonies mark a coordinated push by local authorities to address infrastructure gaps and improve the learning environment for pupils in the area.

At Airforce Primary School, Mayor Rulinda turned the sod for a comprehensive development project. The planned facilities include a new two-classroom block, a main hall, a staff house, and separate boys’ and girls’ toilet blocks. This multi-structure project is expected to significantly ease classroom congestion, provide adequate sanitary facilities, and offer essential accommodation for teachers, thereby contributing to a more stable and conducive academic environment.
Later, the Mayor proceeded to Kiwafu Muslim Primary School, where he launched the construction of a third-floor two-classroom block. This vertical expansion project is designed to maximize the use of available land within the school compound while creating much-needed additional classroom space to accommodate growing student numbers.
Officiating the events, Mayor Fabrice Rulinda emphasized the administration’s commitment to investing in the future of Entebbe’s children. “Today’s groundbreaking is not merely about laying bricks and mortar; it is about laying a strong foundation for the future of our children and our community,” he stated. “These new facilities at Airforce Primary and Kiwafu Muslim Primary will directly translate into a better, more dignified, and more effective learning experience. We are committed to ensuring that every child in Entebbe has access to quality education in a proper environment.”
School administrators, teaching staff, and community leaders from both institutions welcomed the developments, noting that the projects would resolve critical space challenges and improve hygiene standards.
The construction work is slated to begin immediately, with local leaders urging contractors to ensure timely and quality completion. The projects are seen as a concrete step towards fulfilling the municipal leadership’s pledge to prioritize education and community development in Entebbe.
