ENTEBBE VOTERS PRESENTED WITH A “RECORD, NOT RHETORIC” PLATFORM
ENTEBBE – With the local elections set for February 4th, 2026, candidate Mugabi John Socrates is launching his campaign with a direct appeal to voters’ desire for tangible outcomes, under the banner: “Entebbe Deserves Results.”
Positioning himself in stark contrast to what he labels the politics of “empty promises,” Socrates is asking the electorate to judge him on a claimed record of community action rather than future pledges. His campaign’s central thesis is that the municipality needs “a leader who has already proven he can deliver.”
“His mission is clear: Sustainable Prosperity over Empty Pockets,” states his campaign literature, which outlines a focus on achieving financial independence and “dignified employment” for every household.
Campaign Highlights Three-Part Record
The Socrates platform is built upon three specific areas of past achievement:
· Land Defence: He is cited as having acted as a “shield for our community,” successfully protecting local land from outside interests to secure residents’ assets and heritage.
· Job Creation: Moving beyond economic talk, the campaign states he pioneered practical “local job-linkage programs” that have already placed hundreds of Entebbe residents into work.
· Youth Empowerment: Through his “Global Youth Gateway” initiative, 25 young people are reported to have gained international experience and skills, with the aim of fostering a new generation of local leaders.
“This election isn’t about hype; it’s about competence and commitment,” the message asserts, framing the upcoming vote as a binary choice between unproven pledges and a candidate with a track record. “Why settle for a promise when you can choose a leader with proof?”
The campaign concludes with a clear call to action, urging voters to “Mark your calendar” for February 4th, 2026, and to “Vote for Real Change.”
As the election season begins, Socrates’s strategy of running on a resume of specific, local accomplishments sets the stage for a contest that may hinge on voters prioritizing demonstrated action over future plans.
