Former Vice President Prof. Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya has made shocking revelations about the death of his son, the late Bryan Bukenya, claiming that his body was missing an eye—a detail that has fueled suspicions of foul play.
Speaking in a recent interview, Bukenya, a medical doctor by profession, disclosed that the condition of his son’s body led him to believe Bryan may have been killed earlier, with the 2011 Mityana accident allegedly staged to cover up the murder.
“When I saw my son’s body, one eye was missing. This made me question whether the accident was genuine or just a way to hide the truth,” Bukenya said.
Despite his efforts to uncover the truth, the former Vice President revealed that he has never been given access to the postmortem report. He claimed that even though he personally knew the doctor who conducted the autopsy, the medic refused to disclose any details, citing fear.
“I have been told to wait for years, but nothing has been availed to me. The doctor I knew couldn’t speak, and it’s clear there is something being hidden,” Bukenya added.
Though he had publicly appeared to move on from the tragedy, Bukenya’s latest statements suggest deep-seated doubts about the official account of his son’s death. The case, which has remained unresolved for over a decade, continues to raise questions about possible cover-ups.
Authorities have yet to respond to Bukenya’s latest allegations. Meanwhile, the family and the public await answers regarding the mysterious circumstances surrounding Bryan Bukenya’s death.
