GAZA CITY – Hamas’s internal security forces publicly executed three Palestinian men accused of collaborating with Israel on September 21, 2025. The shootings took place in Gaza City near Shifa Hospital.
The executions occurred shortly after the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal formally recognized the State of Palestine, a move intended to advance a two-state solution. According to reports, the three men were accused of being associates of Yasser Abu Shabab, a figure from a rival clan.
The killings were carried out by a Hamas Sahm unit without a public trial. The event was documented in social media posts, highlighting the internal tensions within Gaza amid the ongoing conflict with Israel.
Israeli officials condemned the executions, citing them as evidence of Hamas’s brutality. Gaza analyst Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib criticized the group for using the ongoing conflict to suppress internal dissent.
