JOADAH Design Institute, Institution of Engineers Rwanda Partner to Boost Engineering Capacity
Kigali, Rwanda – July 28, 2025
The Joadah Design Institute has officially partnered with the Institution of Engineers Rwanda (IER) to launch the Professional Career Development Program (PCDP), a joint initiative aimed at strengthening engineering education and technical skills development in Rwanda.
In a landmark cooperation agreement signed this week, both institutions committed to delivering internationally benchmarked training programs that will enhance the professional capacity and global competitiveness of Rwandan engineers.
The PCDP is set to play a vital role in building the next generation of industry-ready engineers, aligning closely with Rwanda’s national strategy for skills development and industrialization. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to transforming Africa through high-quality engineering education and capacity building.
“This cooperation is a testament to our shared vision of transforming Africa through quality engineering education,” said a representative from the Joadah Design Institute. “Together with IER, we will build the next generation of skilled professionals ready to lead Africa’s infrastructure revolution.”
IER welcomed the partnership as a major step forward for the profession. “Our partnership with Joadah will ensure our engineers are not only regionally certified but globally competitive,” said an IER spokesperson. “This program is aligned with Rwanda’s national agenda for skills development and industrialization.”
The rollout of the PCDP courses will provide engineers across Rwanda with access to modern, practical training, supporting the country’s long-term infrastructure and industrial growth goals.
