ENTEBBE, Uganda – In a move set to enhance regional connectivity and expand travel options, a new flight service has been added to Uganda’s air schedule. The initiative, welcomed by the Civil Aviation Authority, is part of broader efforts to grow the country’s air travel network and attract more international carriers.
Marking this expansion, Kenyan-based Daallo Airlines has officially launched a new direct route connecting Entebbe International Airport and Nairobi. The airline will operate three flights weekly, with services scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The inaugural flight was greeted with a traditional ceremonial water salute upon its arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a symbolic gesture in the aviation industry to mark a maiden voyage or a significant inaugural event.
The new route is expected to provide a boost to business and tourism travel between the two East African nations, offering passengers increased flexibility and fostering stronger economic links. The addition of Daallo Airlines to the Entebbe roster underscores the ongoing efforts to position Uganda as a competitive and growing hub for air travel in the region.
