Kampala — The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has confirmed that all candidates vying for positions on the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) have passed the initial eligibility checks.
According to NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong, the party has already conducted due diligence on all aspirants and found them qualified to proceed in the selection process.
“The next step is for the candidates to appear before the committee for interviews, after which they will be vetted,” Todwong said.
He explained that those who successfully pass the vetting stage will be presented to the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) for endorsement before being forwarded for elections.
The CEC is the NRM’s top decision-making organ, responsible for guiding party policy and strategy. The ongoing process is part of preparations for the party’s upcoming internal elections.
