KAMPALA – The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has announced a scheduled downtime for its Online Business Registration System (OBRS) this afternoon, Monday, 13th October 2025.
In a public notice issued via its official social media channels, the URSB stated that the OBRS platform will be temporarily unavailable from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The two-hour service interruption is to allow the organization’s technical teams to carry out urgent maintenance work.
According to the URSB, the primary goal of this maintenance is to enhance the system’s performance and improve the overall user experience for individuals and businesses utilizing the platform for registration services.
The bureau has acknowledged the potential disruption this may cause and has apologized for any inconveniences resulting from the planned downtime. Users are advised to plan their online registration activities outside of the specified two-hour window.
The OBRS is a critical digital platform for entrepreneurs in Uganda, streamlining the process of registering new businesses and ensuring compliance with national regulations.
