KAMPALA, UGANDA – Weeks after Uganda Police announced a UGX 50 million cash reward for information leading to the identification of a suspect in the gruesome murder of David and Deborah Mutanga, authorities have confirmed the arrest of one suspect linked to the case.
According to security sources, the suspect was apprehended following investigations triggered by a viral video that surfaced after the July 2025 killings. He is currently undergoing interrogation to establish the motive behind the brutal murders and to help police trace other possible accomplices.
Earlier today, security operatives returned the suspect to the crime scene in a bid to reconstruct the sequence of events and gather more evidence about how the incident unfolded.
