Presidential Advisor, Singer Full Figure Assaulted in Broad Daylight; Former MP Aspirant Accused
KAMPALA – In a shocking incident that has sparked national outrage and a police manhunt, Presidential Advisor and celebrated singer Jennifer Full Figure was violently attacked and robbed on a city road last Friday. The prime suspects in the case are Justine Nameere, a former Masaka District Woman MP aspirant, and her husband.
The attack, which was captured on video and has since gone viral, shows the artist, whose real name is Jennifer Namutebi Nakangubi, being punched, kicked, and assaulted by a man dressed in NRM attire while a crowd looks on, some cheering and recording the incident.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango, the singer was ambushed along Kyadondo Road on the afternoon of Friday, August 29, 2025. “Jennifer Full Figure… has reported a case of robbery. She alleges that she was intercepted and assaulted by Justine Nameere and her husband along Kyadondo Road,” Onyango stated.
Full Figure was reportedly on her way to a press conference organized by Moses Kalangwa, a former contender for the NRM’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) Vice Chairperson for Central Uganda. During the assault, her mobile phone and Shs 500,000 in cash were stolen.
The motive for the attack, as heard from the assailants in the viral video, appears to be retaliation for critical comments Full Figure allegedly made about them on her television shows and social media platforms.
Following the incident, Full Figure reported the case to the Kampala Metropolitan Police headquarters. Detectives have visited the scene, recorded statements from witnesses, and launched a search for Nameere and her husband, who are now officially accused of robbery and assault.
The brazen attack has drawn swift and widespread condemnation from public figures and citizens online. Captain Mike Mukula, the former Health Minister and outgoing NRM Vice Chairman for Eastern Uganda, called the incident “unacceptable.”
“The beating of a woman like this is unacceptable,” Mukula stated in a social media post. He directly tagged the Inspector General of Police, the Minister of Internal Affairs Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, urging them to intervene.
However, the incident has also ignited a debate about public discourse, with some commentators online accusing Full Figure of a history of using her platforms for excessive personal attacks, though they universally condemned the physical violence.
The police investigation is ongoing as authorities work to apprehend the suspects.
