

Rwandan Gospel Star Gogo Passes Away After Brief Illness in Uganda
KAMPALA – The Rwandan gospel music community and her fans across East Africa are in mourning following the sudden and tragic passing of celebrated singer Musabyimana Gloriose, widely known by her stage name Gogo. The fast-rising artist died on the night of September 3, 2025, in Uganda after a brief illness. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Kyegera Doctors Center.
According to reports from friends and colleagues, Gogo had traveled from Rwanda on August 28th to participate in a crusade in Mbarara, Uganda, which ran from August 29th to 31st. Following the successful ministry event, she and her team proceeded to Kampala for a promotional engagement.
It was shortly after arriving in the capital city that the singer fell ill. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting her to be rushed to the hospital for emergency care. Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the medical facility. A medical report from Kyegera Doctors Center confirmed her death, which sources close to the situation attribute to a heart failure.
