Seeta High School Speaks Out on Student Drowning, Amid Public Doubts and Speculation
MUKONO — The management of Seeta High School has issued a statement regarding the death of Kevin Nsamba, a student who drowned a few days ago, clarifying that the tragedy occurred when the deceased arrived at the school with friends to go swimming.
According to the school’s account, Nsamba drowned while in the pool. However, attendees and members of the community have raised doubts about this explanation, pointing out that the body was found submerged — a detail they claim suggests it had just drowned. They argue that in typical cases, a body floats only after about three days as decomposition begins, implying that the incident may not have unfolded as described.
Some have also questioned why none of Nsamba’s friends reportedly raised an alarm or called for help from school security when the drowning occurred.
The unexplained circumstances have given rise to a swirl of public speculation, with some attributing the incident to witchcraft (locally referred to as juju) and others advancing alternative theories.
Police have not yet issued a detailed report on the matter, and investigations are ongoing.
