Critical Instructions and Deadlines
UNEB has emphasized several important guidelines for the smooth conduct of the examinations:
· Continuous Assessment (CA): Schools must submit CA scores for applicable subjects through the school portal no later than September 30, 2025. The Board will not accept physically delivered coursework.
· Punctuality: Candidates must be at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the start of an exam for identification and checks. A candidate who arrives more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to sit the paper.
· No Extra Time: Strictly no extra time will be allowed beyond the duration stated on the timetable and question paper.
· Prohibited Items: Mobile phones and any other electronic communication devices are strictly forbidden in or around the examination room.
Strong Caution Against Malpractice
UNEB has issued a stern warning against examination malpractice, stating that involvement in malpractice in even one paper will lead to the cancellation of a candidate’s entire results. Cases that could lead to disqualification, arrest, or being barred from future UNEB exams include:
· Smuggling unauthorized material into the exam room.
· Copying from another candidate (collusion).
· Impersonation (hiring someone else to write the exam).
· Prior knowledge of exam questions.
· Possession of a mobile phone.
· Substitution of scripts, tearing scripts, or any form of improper behaviour.
Candidates and the public are encouraged to report any suspected malpractice directly to the Executive Director, UNEB.
Accessing Results
Upon release, candidates will be able to access their results via SMS by typing the exam level (e.g., PLE, UCE, UACE), leaving a space, typing their full index number (with no spaces), and sending it to 6600.
Mr. Odongo urged all candidates to approach the examinations with confidence, as they are designed to assess achievement and help place them in their future career paths. Schools are advised to display the timetables on notice boards for easy access by all interested parties.
