KAMPALA – Jenifah Nakagubi, a prominent presidential adviser known publicly as “FullFigure,” has reportedly reached out to Statehouse officials, pleading for a personal audience with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, this blog has exclusively learnt.
This urgent request comes as Nakagubi continues to nurse significant wounds sustained from a recent physical assault, which she alleges was carried out by the daughter of a sitting government minister.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the incident has left FullFigure, a vocal supporter of the President and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government, feeling vulnerable and seeking justice from the highest office. Sources indicate that her primary motivation for the meeting is to personally appeal to Gen. Museveni for intervention, arguing that her alleged attacker is “untouchable by law” and that all efforts to have her arrested have so far failed.
Beyond seeking justice, the adviser is also requesting enhanced personal security. Fearing for her life, Nakagubi has asked the President to assign her personal bodyguards from the elite Special Forces Command (SFC) brigade. This request for high-level protection is framed as a necessary measure for her safety, which she believes is now in “real danger” specifically because of her political allegiance and public defense of the NRM government.
“The life of our mobiliser is in real danger, she needs protection from the state she has tirelessly served,” a source close to the adviser stated.
The altercation, which resulted in Nakagubi’s injuries, reportedly stems from a personal dispute. However, the involvement of a minister’s daughter has injected the matter with significant political implications, highlighting concerns about impunity and the influence of powerful families.
By the time of this publication, officials at Statehouse had not yet responded to Nakagubi’s request for a meeting with the President. The situation remains pending as the adviser awaits a response from the President’s handlers.
This developing story raises critical questions about the safety of political mobilizers and the application of justice for all citizens, regardless of their social or political status.
