ISLAMABAD – October 22, 2025 – The Pakistani government has issued a strong condemnation of what it terms “renewed attacks” by Israeli forces in Gaza, stating that the military actions have resulted in significant civilian casualties and represent a clear violation of a recent peace agreement.
In an official press release dated October 22, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Israeli operations are contrary to the spirit of the peace accord signed in Sharm El-Sheikh. The agreement was notably witnessed by leadership from the Muslim and Arab world, the United States, European nations, and the United Nations.
Pakistan is urgently calling upon the international community to “take urgent and effective measures” to halt the violations. The South Asian nation emphasized the need to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire and to guarantee the protection of Palestinian civilians.
Reaffirming its long-standing position, the Pakistani government expressed its “unwavering support for the Palestinian people” and demanded an immediate end to Israeli hostilities. The statement reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance for the creation of an “independent, sovereign, viable and contiguous State of Palestine,” based on the borders that existed before the June 1967 war, with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds Al-Sharif) as its capital.
The firm diplomatic communication, numbered 311/2025, underscores the escalating concerns over the breakdown of the truce in Gaza and highlights Pakistan’s active role in advocating for the Palestinian cause on the international stage.
