Nairobi, August 14, 2025 – Senator Ledama Olekina has lauded Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his “fearless leadership” in advancing the East African political federation and full economic integration agenda. In a passionate statement, Olekina emphasized the urgent need for regional unity to counter what he described as a “neocolonial agenda” seeking to divide and exploit the region.
“President Museveni’s dedication and generosity set a bold example for all East African leaders,” Olekina stated. “Now is the moment for ALL leaders to rise, unite, and defend our region against forces that seek to weaken our collective sovereignty.”
