Entebbe, Uganda — The United Nations Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) has reaffirmed its commitment to digital inclusion and education by donating essential ICT equipment to two Ugandan secondary schools.
In a recent gesture aimed at enhancing digital learning, RSCE handed over 20 computers and 2 four-in-one printers each to Merryland Secondary School and Airforce Secondary School. The donation is part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to empower the next generation with tools and opportunities to thrive in a technology-driven world.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, RSCE Director Paulin Djomo emphasized the importance of access to technology in modern education.
“Today’s donation of laptops and printers symbolizes our commitment to empowering the next generation with access to technology and digital learning tools,” Djomo said. “Education is the cornerstone of development, and by supporting institutions like yours, we are investing in a brighter future for Uganda and the region.”
The initiative is aligned with the UN’s broader goal of promoting digital inclusion across the globe, ensuring that students, regardless of their background, are equipped with the digital skills needed for the future.

School administrators and students expressed gratitude for the timely support, which is expected to significantly enhance learning experiences and broaden access to educational resources.
The RSCE continues to play a vital role in supporting local communities in Uganda through capacity-building, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment programs.
