Canadian Aid Airlift Lands in Gaza with Support from Jordan
Gaza – August 1, 2025 –
A new shipment of Canadian humanitarian aid arrived in Gaza today, marking another step in international efforts to address the deepening crisis in the region. The airlift was made possible through close coordination with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and with the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The Government of Canada has pledged more than $340 million in humanitarian assistance aimed at alleviating the dire conditions in Gaza. The aid package includes food, medical supplies, and other critical resources to support displaced families and overwhelmed health services.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II and our Jordanian partners for making this airlift possible,” Canadian officials said in a statement. “Canada remains committed to ensuring this aid reaches those who need it most — and at the necessary scale.”
This latest delivery forms part of a broader Canadian initiative to respond to the urgent needs of civilians caught in the conflict. Canadian authorities reaffirmed their commitment to working with trusted international partners and aid agencies to guarantee transparency, accountability, and effective delivery of assistance.
Humanitarian agencies on the ground have welcomed the additional support, emphasizing the urgent need for continued aid as the crisis persists.
