KAMPALA – Popular singer and ghetto president, Patrick Mulwana, famously known as Alien Skin, has publicly called for the immediate intervention of security agencies to quell what he describes as a violent campaign being waged against his team and supporters.
The call to action was made through a formal statement posted on the artist’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, @AlienSkinUg.
In the statement, Alien Skin’s camp alleges that a group of “hooligans and self-styled mafia wannabes,” led by an unnamed individual, are operating under the banner of the NRM “ghetto structure.” The group is accused of violently attacking the singer’s members and other residents in city ghettos.
The statement claims these attacks are being disguised as a fallout from a “music beef” or industry rivalry. However, Alien Skin’s team asserts that the true objective is far more sinister: to incite widespread gang warfare and disturb public peace.
“We have chosen the path of peace, yet our members are repeatedly targeted and unfairly blamed when they defend themselves,” the statement read, highlighting a sense of frustration over what they perceive as one-sided aggression and blame.
The music group has now issued a direct appeal to the Uganda Police Force and all relevant security agencies to launch an immediate investigation, arrest the perpetrators, and take all necessary measures to restore calm in the affected areas.
Adding a sense of urgency to their demand, the statement included a 48-hour ultimatum. It warned that if no “meaningful action” is taken within this timeframe, the matter would be escalated, though the nature of this escalation was not specified.
The post has sparked significant concern among fans and residents, raising fears of escalating tensions in the city’s ghettos. The police are yet to issue an official response to these allegations and the accompanying ultimatum.
