UPDATE: Viral TikTok Drama Takes Supernatural Turn as Man Alleged to Develop Facial Growth Over Debt Dispute
KAMPALA, Uganda — A sensational personal dispute between two Ugandans, which began as a viral social media plea, has taken a bizarre and ominous turn with claims of witchcraft and a mysterious physical affliction.
The saga involves TikTok personality Kalyesubura Ronald, known online as Tobi31, and his former partner, Faridah Nakabugo. The controversy ignited months ago when Nakabugo posted an emotional video, weeping as she accused Kalyesubura of squandering nearly 20 million Ugandan shillings (approximately $5,300 USD) she sent him over three years while she worked as a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia.
Upon returning to Uganda, Nakabugo claimed she discovered the funds, intended for the care of their two children, had been spent. She further alleged Kalyesubura had used the money to marry another woman. Her public appeal for financial assistance to support her children resonated widely on social media.
Alleged Supernatural Intervention
According to recent viral reports, Nakabugo’s plight caught the attention of a traditional herbalist, Jajja Naisonga, who allegedly intervened on her behalf. It is claimed Naisonga prepared charms intended to compel Kalyesubura to repay the debt.
The story has escalated with claims from social media sources and local gossip that Kalyesubura is now suffering from a strange affliction: a persistent, penis-shaped growth on his face. This condition, described as “sweating plasma,” is locally attributed to powerful witchcraft or a curse.
Family Seeks Resolution
The alleged growth has reportedly prompted Kalyesubura’s relatives to urgently intervene. Sources claim they have approached Nakabugo to negotiate a resolution and a plan to repay the contested 20 million shillings, hoping it will reverse the condition.
The situation has become a major topic of discussion on Ugandan social media, blending elements of financial betrayal, gender dynamics of migrant labor, and deep-seated cultural beliefs in traditional justice and supernatural retribution.
Neither Kalyesubura nor Nakabugo could be immediately reached for independent comment on the latest developments. Medical professionals have not verified the claims about the nature of Kalyesubura’s alleged facial condition.
The case highlights a recurring theme in Ugandan pop culture, where personal and financial disputes sometimes spill into the realm of public spectacle and alleged mystical intervention, often playing out on the vibrant and influential stage of social media.
