Fresh Shocking Testimony in Pastor Kayanja Defamation Case as Accused Reveals Detailed Account of Alleged Sexual Exploitation Network

KAMPALA, Uganda – A stunning new chapter unfolded yesterday at Mengo’s Mwanga II Magistrate’s Court when 21-year-old Reagan Ssentongo delivered explosive testimony detailing his alleged involvement in a systematic recruitment network linked to popular city pastor Robert Kayanja of the Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral.
Ssentongo, who is among nine youths facing defamation charges brought by Pastor Kayanja, continued his defense before the Chief Magistrate, presenting what he described as irrefutable forensic evidence extracted from his smartphone. The court heard dramatic allegations of firearms, luxury vehicles, and an organized operation spanning multiple regions of Uganda.
Forensic Evidence Forms Backbone of Defense
The young man’s testimony rested heavily on a forensic report prepared by police digital forensic analyst Enock Kanene, who examined Ssentongo’s smartphone following his arrest. According to court proceedings, the report captured years of digital communications, including WhatsApp chats, call logs, voice notes, photographs, and video exchanges.
Ssentongo directed the court’s attention to specific pages within the report, pointing to documented communications between himself and Pastor Kayanja stretching from 2019 until his arrest in 2021 alongside his co-accused.
Alleged Introduction to Farm and Firearms
In a particularly dramatic segment of his testimony, Ssentongo told the court that after establishing a connection with Pastor Kayanja, he was taken to the pastor’s farm in Nakasongola District. It was there, he claimed, that he was elevated to a leadership position—made “the boss” of the farm operations.
The court heard allegations that Ssentongo was given an office at the farm house and, most disturbingly, was handed an arsenal of firearms, including what he described as “eight big guns and six pistols.”
WhatsApp Group and Regional Operations
Ssentongo further testified that he was introduced to a WhatsApp group that included himself, Pastor Kayanja, and church aide Frederick Kisitu, among others. He alleged that members of this group regularly shared sodomy-related pictures, videos, and explicit chats.
According to his testimony, he was assigned specific responsibilities as the regional agent for the Bunyoro Sub-region. His alleged instructions were to identify and recruit young boys whom he would then take to the pastor for sexual exploitation.
Luxury Vehicles and International Connections
The court also heard allegations that Ssentongo was provided with a Toyota Land Cruiser and later a Drone van for his operations. He identified the vehicles’ driver only as “Henry,” whom he claimed now resides in the United States of America.
Context of the Case
The nine accused youths, including Ssentongo, are currently facing defamation charges brought against them by Pastor Kayanja. The pastor has consistently denied any wrongdoing, and his legal team has maintained that the allegations are part of a coordinated effort to damage his reputation and that of his ministry.
The defense, however, appears to be building a case that goes far beyond simple defamation, instead suggesting organized criminal activity spanning several years and multiple regions.
Court Proceedings Continue
The Chief Magistrate presided over the session as Ssentongo meticulously walked the court through the forensic evidence, page by page. The testimony has raised serious questions about the nature of the relationship between the accused and the prominent religious figure.
As the case continues to unfold, both the prosecution and defense are expected to call additional witnesses, with the forensic report likely remaining central to the proceedings. The court is yet to rule on the admissibility of certain evidence, though the detailed nature of Ssentongo’s testimony has already captured significant public attention.
